Collaboration at the heart of our relationships
The alternative École Philou daytime learning program in a 1:1 ratio for polyimpaired young adults aged 21 to 29 is offered free of charge in partnership with the Centre de ressources éducatives et pédagogiques (CREP) of the Commission scolaire de Montréal.
Children at Philou Summer Camp take part in several fun outings such as swimming in the pool, visits et the farm and taking long walks in nature. Let’s underline the generosity of Papillon Foundation which lends us their buses to visit all these places.
The new building of the Centre Philou has made it possible to allocate a room specially reserved for the children of Camp Philou and their counsellors. Thanks to these larger spaces, we now welcome the Charles Guindon Foundation‘s day camp for children with epilepsy.
We also share our large kitchen each week with Meals on Wheels of Outremont. The cooks prepare delicious meals that they then deliver to the homes of about twenty elderly people in the neighbourhood.
We also welcome several interns and volunteers as part of our development programs.
