── Campus Philou

An expertise to share
PhilouLAB was launched a few years ago with three objectives: to explore new promising projects, to support research on polyhandicap and on the needs of the clientele, and to develop courses, training and tools for employees, college and university students. While the research continues and our project for a specialized daycare is in the implementation stage, we have launched the internal and external training component via Campus Philou, a platform composed of dynamic and interactive courses on various topics related to polyhandicap. Eighteen topics have been selected and 3 of them are complete and ready to be delivered. Campus Philou is based on the knowledge developed internally, combined with that of speakers from the academic, medical and social sectors.

Campus Philou will also take the form of college and university conferences in key areas of support for families of polyimpaired children, where there is currently little to no specific teaching for this clientele. The goal is to better understand, demystify and work on the issues related to polyhandicap in order to promote a concerted approach to the care of young polyimpaired people in Quebec.
