Philou Daycare is:
- A highly innovative environment
- a small team of professionals working in an interdisciplinary manner
- An educational program adapted to the reality of Philou Daycare’s children
- Small ratios (1 for 2)
- A small daycare environment (maximum of 10 children)
- Access to several facilities (motor development room, sensory rooms, etc.)
Main functions
- Work in an interdisciplinary way with the various professionals on the team (physiotherapist, TRP, occupational therapist, psychoeducator, etc.);
- Writing interdisciplinary intervention plans;
- Act as a pivotal educator for two children and liaise with families;
- Plan and lead group activities adapted to the children’s particular needs;
- Work individually on children’s objectives;
- Provide all necessary care during the day (diaper changes, medication, etc.);
- Follow the curriculum established by Centre Philou;
- Perform all other tasks required for the smooth running of Centre Philou.
Skills required:
- Experience with intellectual and/or physical disabilities
- Be considered a certified educator by the Ministry of Family
OR - Have a diploma in special education
